“How platform businesses are changing the global economy?” with H.Hosseini
February 21 @ 19:00 - 21:30
Seven out of ten most valuable companies globally are based on a platform business model – the form of digital business that allows different groups to interact and make transactions with each other. Amazon, Alibaba and Google are just some of the examples that have used this model to grow exponentially and thus take a significant market share from well-established businesses.
In this time of change, where we are moving from traditional linear to networked business models, it’s crucial for every entrepreneur and corporate innovator to understand platform economy and figure out how to implement successful network-based businesses.
During this Expat-preneur Talks #8 our guest speaker will be Hamidreza Hosseini, Managing Director of Ecodynamics GmbH, Lecturer at WHU, and MIT Alumni. Hamidreza has an extensive experience in management consulting and has helped several large corporations and startups worldwide to build and implement their platform business models and digitalization strategies.
Together with Hamidreza we will learn and discover the differences between traditional linear business and platforms, and how the latter are impacting the global economy and shifting power within industries. Join-in!
